The Anthropocene is an unofficial epoch in time, used to describe the time in history when human impact began to have a negative affect on the earth. This piece was designed to show that when it comes to action we don't have an infinite amount of time to act. We are loosing biodiversity at an unprecedented rate, in the top of the hourglass there is a celebration of our natural world slowly fading through the timer where we see some recently extinct species. This is a piece of artivism designed to provoke thought and remind us daily that action is needed now more than ever.

A professionally printed Giclée print on Hahnemühle Bamboo fine art paper. This is the worlds first printing paper made from bamboo fibres, resonating the environmental message of the piece and maintaining a natural appearance.

This is a limited edition print with only 200 being made in each size.

The natural world inspires so much of my work and my aim is to share my passion for the ocean and wildlife with others. I consciously select my materials and packaging to ensure they have as little impact on our planet as possible.

This item is packaged in plastic free paper packaging all of which can be recycled in your household paper recycling collection, apart from tube end caps which can be re-used. I use paper fragile tape to mark larger prints, and glassine paper to protect your art work.
